This is another song for a proposed new musical. It will be the play out song with a bit of audience participation. The tune is 60’s inspired and some of the dance moves will be those that are mentioned, like the Swim and the Watusi etc….
Medieval Twist
You put your hands in the air
Shake them all around
Put them down by your side
And point to the ground
You bend your knees
And punch those fists
Now you know
You’re doing the Medieval Twist…
You move to the left
With a little slide
You give a big smile
Like you’re filled with pride
You slide to the right
And now you get the gist
So come on everybody
And do the Medieval Twist…
You do the walk around (Clap hands twice)
And then about face (Clap hands twice)
No need to rush (Clap hands twice)
Just keep a steady pace
We ain’t doing the Monkey
Or the Boogaloo
We ain’t doing the Time Warp
This is something new
So just bend those knees
Blow everyone a kiss
And now you are all doing
The Medieval Twist…
Well you can keep your Pony
Your Dog and your Fly
We don’t need your Loco Motion
Or your Eye to Eye
And your Mashed potato
Ain’t something that we like
So keep your Watusi
And you can take a hike…
Repeat verse 3
You put your hands in the air
Shake them all around
Put them down by your side
And point to the ground
You bend your knees
And punch those fists
(Spoken) come on everybody (Think Chubby Checker)
And do the Medieval Twist…
So come on everybody
And do the Medieval Twist (Repeat music to exit)
Got a noice beat and yer can prance to it.

Let’s hope a future audience think the same…

I like it. It’s got a great beat and you can dance to it.

Did you go through the moves? Maybe I should consider doing an instructional video.

If you did an instructional video I would watch it. Do it? Not so much, maybe.

I don’t think I’d look good in tight Lycra…
